Thriving in Ministry: Clergy/Clergy Wives Peer Learning Groups

Thriving in Ministry

Founding Synergy Life Coaching prepared me for yet another ministry opportunity. This past summer (2022) Mka. Rozanne and I were invited to join the Thriving in Ministry (TiM) team as facilitators for Clergy Peer Learning Groups (Fr. David) and Clergy Wives Peer Learning Groups (Mka. Rozanne). As noted on their website, in 2018 the OCA was awarded a generous grant through the Lilly Endowment to further develop a program of Peer Learning to support Orthodox clergy and clergy wives. Thriving in Ministry (TiM) is that resource for clergy and clergy wives, administered by the Orthodox Church in America’s (OCAOffice of Pastoral Life, and has groups meeting from coast to coast.

When we returned from Alaska in 2019, I had made one-on-one mentoring and small groups a ministry priority, and Thriving in Ministry fits this priority perfectly! I am currently facilitating two Clergy Peer Learning Groups (CPLG): one in North Florida and one in Middle-Georgia. Mka. Rozanne is currently forming her first Clergy Wives Peer Learning Group (CWPLG). Both of us believe that facilitating trusting relationships, encouragement, and refueling among clergy/clergy wives through these peer learning groups is one of the greatest contributions we can make to the Church as a whole at this time. Please contact either one of us if you are interested in learning more about TiM and peer learning groups or you know someone who might be.
